The Big Island of Hawaii is almost twice as large as all the other Hawaiian islands combined.  The island is very popular tourists destination, which offers a huge number of adventures worthy of the continent.  And even more strikingly, the island continues to grow.

Hawaii’s most active volcano, Kilauea, has erupted almost non-stop for three decades. Also, you can find there subarctic mountain peaks, ancient Hawaiian hidden places, trekking through the rugged terrain of forgotten valleys and many mesmerizing beautiful beaches, from white sand to green and black crater, covered with stones from frozen lava. There are two main areas in the Big Island of Hawaii: Hilo and Kailua Kona.

Kailua-Kona

This sun-drenched tourist town with the incredible beaches to the North and to the South, and numerous water diversion, the area where so many apartment buildings, gives reason for further research.

Close to Kailua there is Kamakahonu beach, was once the Royal residence of king Kamehameha the Great. South coast Kona is famous for the fragrant coffee farm, the ancient Hawaiian locations and characteristic of a small town. North Kona coast and Koalas covered in black solidified lava.

It is possible to find secluded beaches with palm trees, ancient Hawaiian places and expensive resorts. In the resort area of Waikoloa you can see ancient Hawaiian rock carvings, petroglyphs, there are also two shopping centers that offer a variety of free entertainment every day.

Hilo

The capital of a Large Island called “the rainiest city in the US”, and this tarnished reputation pushes her tourists. And in vain, because of Hilo, with its working parts of the coast and ancient buildings in the centre, even has a kind of charm due to the perennial bad weather.

Ethnically diverse, this city has an authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. There is National Park Hawaii volcanoes where two active volcanoes witnessed the birth of the Islands. Bank of Hawaii Big Island has 11 offices and 2 ATMs over this area. The list below gives detailed information about branch locations, contacts, services, and working days and hours.
